Mr. Poker app Review

Mr Poker is a club-based app released in 2019 by Mobile KIK Limited, a Hong Kong-based company. Apparently, part of the PPPoker team left and is now working on this new project.

It seems that Mr. Poker plan is to expand their services in Australia and the Philippines, as they are recruiting country managers for such countries, although they strive to build a "world leading online poker platform with network partners in South East Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and the US." It's a long way to the top, and it seems to us that Mr. Poker is just at the base.

In this review, we will check all relevant details of the Mr. Poker app and evaluate their potential for the future.

Rakeback and promotions

We were unable to identify any promotion offered by Mr. Poker agents or the app itself. Most likely, in the future, if the site becomes popular, affiliates will offer rakeback deals. In the meantime, you can get safe access to our unique club at club-based apps like PPPoker or PokerBros:

Mr Poker games and traffic

Club owners at Mr. Poker can create tables in the following formats:

  • NLH
  • PLO
  • OFC
  • MTT

As usual, the host can choose the length, format, buy-in range, among other details of each table. It's possible to host a home game to play with friends without creating a club, similar to Pokerrrr 2.

Mr. Poker platform is similar to other club-based apps, and it can offer almost the same games.

Banking options

Mr. Poker is another play-money platform, so it doesn't feature a direct cashier to process money transactions. When clubs get created, affiliates will most likely offer payment methods like cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin, USDT) to handle payments.

Reliability and trustworthiness

Although Mr. Poker claims that its random number generator (RNG) has been tested by Gaming Labs International (GLI), they don't display any certificate on their website, so we were unable to verify this and consider it not valid. Mr. Poker states they are governed by Hong Kong law.

Mr.Poker has a "fair gaming" page in which they prohibit the use of any software that gives an unfair advantage, including but not limited to bots, cheats, automatically collecting gifts, etc.

"Use of these programs (working or not) violates the Mr. Poker Terms of Service, and may violate the law. Mr. Poker proactively tracks sites that host hacks, bots, and cheats and will take appropriate action if hacking, cheating."

We found this paragraph of MrPoker terms and conditions interesting, as it may refer to agents providing access to real money games: "Mr. Poker is not responsible or liable for any loss or damage resulting from any interaction with other App users, persons you meet through the App, or persons who find you because of information posted on, by or through the App."

Overall, Mr. Poker will need to update its profile with valid links to RNG certificates to be considered a safe platform to play.

Customer service

All we could found was an email to reach customer service: [email protected]. However, we tried with a simple question: "Is there an iOS client available?" but we never got a reply.

They invite to follow an official Facebook profile on their website, but it doesn't exist at the moment. We were also unable to find groups at other social networks (Twitter, Telegram), as well as 2+2 or Reddit threads.

Mr. Poker Client

Although Mr. Poker official website states the app is available for iOS and Android (and even the banners are designed with iPhones), we could not find a download link for the Apple OS or in any App Store.

We were able to download and install Mr. Poker on Android devices, but via the APK file, it seems the app has several country restrictions, which we were unable to confirm due to the lack of response of the customer service. The tables are well-designed, featuring landscape and portrait mode. The tables can be protected with GPS/IP restrictions to avoid scams. There are a few customization options, like a four-color deck of changing the table theme.

Within the app, the player can check basic game statistics like WTSD, VPIP, PFR, Fold to C-bet, etc.

Pros and cons

We highlight the following benefits of the site:

  • Ambitious platform looking to expand globally.
  • Part of the PPPoker team is behind the project.

The dark side of the room:

  • No valid RNG certificate
  • No experience

As a final word, we think that Mr. Poker is such a young project that it isn't possible to draw any informed conclusion about them. Suppose they work hard and invest the necessary resources in marketing and technology. In that case, the real money poker apps market will be certainly benefited from getting a new player.
