Sky Poker Review

Sky Poker is a British poker room on the iPoker Network with a private pool of tables and tournaments. The site is owned by Sky Betting & Gaming, which operates a network of sites licensed by the UK Gambling Commission (UKGC).

Registration on Sky Poker is only available to the United Kingdom, Ireland, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man, and Gibraltar residents.

From 2007 to 2025, the poker room operated as an independent platform. In 2018, Sky Betting was purchased by The Stars Group (now part of the Flutter conglomerate), which did not affect Sky Poker's operations.

Sky Poker Bonuses

All new Sky Poker players are entitled to a welcome bonus of up to €40 immediately after creating their account:

Sky Poker Rakeback

Rake Structure

The rake is distributed according to the "weighted contributed" model. This means the rake contribution depends directly on the player's pot contribution. The rake percentage and caps depend on the limits:

In MTTs, the rake is up to 10%; in Twister, it's 7% (in €200 tournaments, it's 5%).

Games and Traffic

In the iPoker Network general pool, SkyPoker players have access to two popular regular table types, which account for 99% of traffic:

• NLH with stakes from €0.01/€0.02 to €25/€50
• PLO with stakes from €0.01/€0.02 to €25/€50

In the "Speed" tab, there are four limits (NL5-€100) in fast-fold poker format, but there's no action at these tables.

Tournaments

The network's MTT schedule includes dozens of daily tournaments. These typically include tournaments with buy-ins from €1 to €10 in PKO format.

Major Sunday Tournaments:

• €70,000 GTD Main Sunday Sweat for €100
• €50,000 GTD Sunday Eliminator for €50

Twister Spins
