I came to poker in 2009. I started out with online multi-table tournaments (MTTs), looking for tournaments with overlay and additional prize pools. In doing so, I had to study how each poker room actually worked from the inside, identifying where the opponents were weak, which rooms had the best structure and which promotions offered real value. I shared my findings with friends and on poker forums long before any of this became my job.

In 2016, after twelve years of working as a broadcast engineer at a local TV station, I joined Worldpokerdeals. Today, I write news articles, analyses and reviews of poker rooms, mainly in Russian and occasionally in English. I test the poker rooms myself, from the way the cashier works and withdrawal conditions to the rules, which can change without warning.

The market behind the gaming tables interests me most about online poker: where traffic is currently concentrated, how the player base changes following legislative changes and how poker rooms adapt when liquidity begins to decline. Many of my topics come from this area. I also keep track of the current situation, including the number of active tables, the available stakes and the player mix.

What I don’t write about is strategy. Hand analysis and game theory are unfortunately not my area of expertise, and we have other specialists for that.
