The leading poker app — PPPoker, once again confirmed its interest in the Brazilian market. Madson "Urea" Moura became the new ambassador for the room. Why was he signed in, and how popular is PPPoker in Brazil?

Madson Moura: The path to paradise

Madson was born in a small town in northwestern Brazil, into a low-income family. His poker career radically changed in November 2019, when he managed to win the Brazilian Series of Poker (BSOP Millions) Main Event and turned a $650 deposit into $293,333.

PPPoker has chosen a player who, despite the difficulties, did not give up his passion for poker and was able to win one of the largest tournaments in Latin America.

The Brazilian hopes that his story will attract more people to play on the PPPoker platform and this proves that anything is possible in poker. Let's recall that last year Brazil legalized sports betting.

Signing a contract with Madson Moura is not the first step that PPPoker has taken to increase its popularity in Brazil:

In 2019, the app became the official sponsor of one of the most famous football clubs in the country — Cruzeiro;
In April 2020, Sao Paulo was scheduled to host the PPPoker World Championship Series with a guaranteed prize pool of over a million dollars across 14 events. Unfortunately, it was canceled because of the Covid-19 outbreak.
