Christoph Vogelsang Wins Triton Poker Main Event in Jeju

Second Triton Poker victory

The third Triton Poker Super High Roller Series Main Event this year attracted 228 entries. As usual, many top players took part in the $100K event.

On September 18, 2025, German professional Christoph Vogelsang took first place in the Main Event in Jeju, South Korea, earning $4,099,975.

After the game, Christoph said:

"This win is special for me—it's the Main Event, after all. Triton is my favorite series, where everyone knows each other: both the players and the staff. I'm happy I won!"

While Vogelsang was clutching the tournament, his appearance was once again the subject of discussion on Twitter. William Jaffe shared a screenshot of a stream where Vogelsang was wearing a hoodie and asked, "Is this look legal?" Negreanu responded:

"This isn't the WSOP, where the rules prohibit covering your eyes, mouth, and neck. When I see this, I call the floor manager and ask him to do something about the outfit. Christoph, by the way, is a great guy, but this outfit is unacceptable."

The German had only previously won a Triton event once, in 2023 in Monte Carlo.

Christoph Vogelsang's total live tournament winnings now stand at $45,898,990. To move into first place among the best German players and overtake Fedor Holz, he needs to win another $4.2 million.

The German has only had two larger wins in his career:

1. In 2014, 3rd place in the $1M The Big One for One Drop — $4,480,001
2. In 2017, 1st place in the $300K Super High Roller Bowl — $6,000,000

Final Day

Vogelsang led the chip count for almost the entire final day, which started with the top 11.

One of his most important pots was played in the top 5 against Aleksey Ponyakov of Latvia. Ponyakov bluffed all-in on the river after his flush draw failed, and Christoph found the strength to call with top pair and a deuce kicker. After this hand, Vogelsang's stack was 62 big blinds, while his opponents had a combined stack of 52 big blinds.

Heads-up, the German made a deal with Samuel Mullur for $3,509,025. They left $150,000, the Jacob & Co. watch and a trophy to play for.

The remainder of the game took three hands. In the deciding pot, Mullur check-called three streets with 74. The board read 7KA4T, and Vogelsang showed KT. A ten on the river gave Vogelsang the win.
