Erik Seidel wins WSOP #11 MILLION$ High Roller

Results of the first WSOP Online 2021 High Roller

A third of the WSOP Online 2021 series at GGNetwork (GGPoker, Natural8) is on the books. 12 out of 33 bracelet tournaments have been played, with over $30 million in prizes and over 60,000 entries. Despite the twofold decrease in the number of major events compared to last year and the summer season, the festival is trending.

The first high roller event ended yesterday:

Event #11: $10,000 Super MILLION$ High Roller $5M GTD collected 624 entries and raised a $6,052,800 prize pool. The first place was won by the legendary player Erik Seidel ($977,842).

The uniqueness of this victory comes after studying Seidel's career:

1. This is Seidel's ninth bracelet, entering the player into the TOP5.
2. The American won the first WSOP tournament back in 1992 when most of his modern rivals were not yet born or didn't know what poker was
3. 14 years have passed since the last victory of this player in the WSOP
4. This is Eric's biggest win online and the biggest cash in the WSOP.
5. Last year Erik made 15 ITM during WSOP Online but didn't reach any final table.

• Joachim "jochee" Haraldstad from Norway (winner of the GG Spring Festival ME 2021) — 50 BB.
• Claas "ssicK_OnE" Segebrecht from Austria (more than $3,000,000 in online profits) - 46 BB.
• Shyngis "3DTemujiN" Satubayev from Kazakhstan (champion of the WSOP International Circuit 2019) — 45 BB.
• Isaac "westmenloAA" Baron from the USA (WSOP bracelet in 2019 and $6,543,748 prize money in live tournaments) - 44 BB.
• Chin-Wei "davidchien88" Chien from Taiwan (winner of a WSOP Circuit ring) — 34 BB.
• Rui "RuiNF" Ferreira from Portugal (TOP 14 in the world by the amount of money won across the Internet with $14,884,141) — 16 BB.

Eric "Seiborg" Seidel entered with the seventh stack with 43BB, but in the heads-up against the Uruguayan, he was 5 times behind. The American managed to improve his position after winning QQ vs. JJ.

By the way, the Latin American fired nine bullets to this MILLION$ High Roller!

The final moment was decided in a hand in which Seidel was frankly lucky (a loss would have left him with 15BB against 74BB). A8 hearts against AK with a flush on the turn.
