As part of its ongoing effort to expand the functionality of the poker client, GGPoker has introduced Escrow Trade directly within the cashier. The integrated platform enables players to securely buy and sell T$, C$, tournament tickets, and other game assets, where the room acts as a guarantor for every transaction.

What is Escrow Trade, and what are its advantages

Escrow Trade is a built-in P2P marketplace within the GGPoker cashier where players can buy and sell various poker assets, including:

  • T$ (Tournament Dollars);
  • C$ (Cash Dollars);
  • Tournament tickets;
  • Cash, if permitted in a particular jurisdiction.

The core of the service is its escrow system. Once a trade is created, the asset is automatically blocked by the system and cannot be used, transferred, or withdrawn by the seller until the transaction is finalized. Payment is released only after all conditions of the deal have been met.

Key benefits of Escrow Trade:

  • 🔒 Protection from fraud by the seller or buyer.
  • 👤 No need to look for intermediaries.
  • 🌱 Transactions are conducted within the GGPoker ecosystem.
  • 💬 Built-in chat for discussing details.
  • ⚖️ The ability to provide evidence in case of disputes.
  • 💵 No fees for using the service.

  3. Agree on the terms. After the trade is initiated, a built-in chat opens. During the Negotiating Terms step, the parties can discuss the details of the exchange. GGPoker recommends conducting all communication exclusively within this chat.
  4. Wait for payment. After agreeing on the terms, the deal moves to the Waiting for Payment status. The buyer transfers funds to the seller using the selected payment method and clicks the Transferred Funds button.
  5. Confirm receipt of funds. The deal moves to the Waiting for Approval status. The seller verifies receipt of payment and confirms receipt of funds.
  6. Complete the trade. After payment is confirmed, the system automatically transfers the asset to the buyer. The trade is designated as Trade Complete, and information about it is saved in the transaction history.

⚠️ Important: Do not send funds until you have the option to click Transferred Funds and save all correspondence in the built-in chat. This will help protect both parties and simplify the resolution of potential disputes.

To easily search for offers, there are built-in filters by asset type, transaction amount, and search by name.

Availability of the feature may vary depending on a player's country of residence and local regulations governing P2P transactions.

Why Escrow Trade is useful for players

In our opinion, the launch of Escrow Trade represents one of the most meaningful innovations introduced by GGPoker in recent years. At the moment, there is no equivalent solution anywhere else in online poker.

The service addresses a long-standing issue within the poker community. Historically, players looking to buy or sell tournament tickets, T$, or C$ had to rely on third-party platforms, where the only protection was the reputation of the participants. Any error or dishonesty on the part of one party could lead to the loss of money or assets.

For regular players, Escrow Trade provides a simple way to turn unused tickets and in-game funds into liquid assets. Recreational players benefit as well, gaining direct access to the tickets or T$ they need without having to search for sellers on external platforms.

Overall, Escrow Trade makes the exchange of poker assets significantly safer, faster, and more convenient. Instead of relying on informal deals conducted through forums or messaging apps, players now have an official tool with protection for both parties, a dispute resolution system, and a built-in asset storage mechanism until the transaction is completed.
