Play It Safe: all-in insurance on Winning Poker Network (WPN)
In less than three weeks after the previous update, the US-friendly WPN rolled out another one, the main feature of which was the preflop all-in insurance feature (Play It Safe). We will analyze its specifics and other changes in this article.
How does all-in insurance work at Winning Poker Network?
Over the past couple of years, the WPN has been trying to add many competitors' innovations to its poker client. This option first appeared in Asian mobile applications, and then TOP poker rooms also implemented it. The insurance is now available at GGNetwork and PokerStars. And now it's time for all-in insurance:
Starting October 27, 2021, cash game players can use "Play It Safe" at PokerKing, Americas Cardroom, and Black Chip Poker.
Unlike the competitors, only preflop all-in insurance is available here.
To configure "Play It Safe" behavior, go to Settings - Playing Tools - All-in Options. There are 3 choices available:
- Always Play It Safe;
- Never Play It Safe;
- Always ask me during the hand.
The poker room takes an extra 1% fee from every insured pot.
Other changes
Also, the following options appeared in the network's poker client:
- Responsible Gaming. There's a new "Responsible Gaming" tab within the Settings section. Here you can disable any of the 13 available games. This feature also allows a player to remove all casino icons from the lobby and poker tables.
- Sharing hands. Since this spring, the nicknames of all opponents at the cash game tables have been anonymous for observers. The new feature allows you to watch your friends' play or high rollers and even share your hands. All players receive 3 special tickets daily. You can activate them to make all the nicknames visible for 5 hours period. Also, it enables a small button in the upper left corner of the table, through which you can post any hand on Twitter or Facebook.
- Waiting list. Now the player can see what place he is in the queue for the particular table.
Unfortunately, the staking feature still doesn't work. In the next update, developers promise to implement a new system of player notes and synchronized breaks for multi-table SnGs.
